Dana Sherry comes to Saint Agnes as a scholar, as a traditional artist, and as a parent. She is finishing a Master’s degree at the Jesuit School of Theology that explores local pilgrimage as a way to encounter the sacred that surrounds us in the Bay Area. She lectures at Saint Mary’s College of California about the saints and about Russian history and literature, drawing on her PhD in Russian history and life experiences in Russia, Poland, Hungary, and the Republic of Georgia. She is also a traditional storyteller, telling folktales and stories of the saints for all ages.
Dana lives in Orinda with her husband, fifteen-year-old son, and two cats, and just last week her oldest son started college at the University of British Columbia. She is delighted to join the Saint Agnes and ISLC community, and can’t wait to get to know you all!
