“Make the unity of the Body of Christ your passionate concern.”
Br. Roger, Founder of Taizé
Every third Wednesday of the Month at 7pm
in the Sanctuary of St. Agnes
Organized by ISLC and Young Adult Community
The Body of Christ, which is for all Christians an image of the world made one in Christ, who as Br. Roger experienced in his heart, did not create a new religion, but Communion, unity not division, peace not war, reconciliation between all.
The music, the silence, and the words spoken in diferent languages during the hour of Taizé prayer want to enable people to enter into that experience, of oneness not division, of unity not conflict and of peace, so that the participants experience, what they want to see happening in this world and that they are strengthened to live a life of praying for peace and promoting reconciliation.
Praying for Peace in us and around us in the spirituality of Taizé. Taizé was founded with the experience of WWI and WWII. This experience of war gave the spirituality of Taizé the foundational desire of reconciliation and social justice! Today, 70 years after WWII no prayer seems to be more urgent than the one for peace and reconciliation. Come and Join us dedicating an hour in prayer for peace.
Taizé is an ecumenical community located in Northern France and has become the origin of a worldwide spirituality that invites through music, silence and simple words to experience the peace
that we ourselves
and the world always needs.
